wanna get skinny in a week? here's AOL's take on how to do so...
1) try to eliminate stress and anxiety
your body's immune system works like crazy when you're stressed because it's not only fighting the stress itself, but the toxins created by your environment, sometimes getting overwhelmed.... this can screw up your metabolism, causing weight gain
2) stay away from bad foods! (duh)
avoiding foods with refined sugar and flour, trans fats, hormones and pesticides, as well as gluten, dairy, eggs, corn and yeast... this sounds crazy, but this can actually remove a lot of toxins from your body (as well as calories) allowing you to really shed some pounds
3) add good foods (duh, again)
your body thrives on fresh vegetables and fruit, whole grains and beans, nuts and seed and lean animal proteins... organic foods are even better because they contain more nutrients, as well as weight- and disease- fighting chemicals called phytonutrients
4) detoxify your body
foods like vegetable broth, and foods high in flax seeds, fiber, magnesium citrate, and vitamin C are awesome in that they keep your body pH balanced and boost detoxification
5) protein, protein, protein!
eat plenty of foods with protein, it helps you feel full quicker allowing you to eat less and be less likely to snack between meals
6) chill
take at least 20 minutes of pure personal time a day... without watching tv, or reading... just listen to soft music or take a bubble bath... this helps to lower stress hormone levels (high stress hormone levels cause weight gain)
7) work those multivitamins
find a really good multivitamin and actually take it everyday.. this helps to boost your weight loss
8) keep up the good work
don't stop the diet after a week, you'll only gain the weight back... you can of course add some of the "bad foods" back (like eggs and dairy) but do it gradually and don't over do it
this sounds tough, but make it a habit and shed those unwanted pounds!!
